If only

If only the heart

Feels the pain of another,

Sees the wounds already inflicted.

If only the heart

Pauses, before harsh words

Meant to wound further, leap out in anger.

If only the signs

Of depression are seen early

By caretakers whose role includes such seeing.

If only we learn

To expand our hearts, feel the Spirit within

That is everywhere and connects us to all other hearts.

If only we learn

To learn and teach, with minds

That never disconnect from our hearts and our souls.

If only we all learn

To admit our faults and say sorry,

And make amends, not get into denial and self-righteousness.

If only we see

The need of the hour

Is to weep, to reach out and to show genuine care.

If only we spread

Awareness that all lives are important,

That we all need to improve and find creative ways of caring.

If only.

Good morning!

Hello Insti. This blog is a space for active reflection on anything you feel space and talk worthy.

If you wake up today and feel something that nudges you to rush out to your neighbour and talk about for a while, bothers you enough to want others to think and reflect on it, pen it down for the institute to hear.

This is an open space, quite like the sky. Write, you may in anonymity even, if you think it is necessary and comfortable.

We have ears all around us. We listen. We ponder. We act.

Here; Take your pen. Speak out aloud.

Warm regards,
The Reflections Team
